part-time Team Administrator (paid)
Overview
We are looking for a part-time Team Administrator to support us with administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of services we provide as well as support with the volunteer recruitment process. This post is funded by the National Lottery grant until February 2027 with possibilities of being extended. This is a part-time post of 18.5 hours a week and is office based in Watford.
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and administrative skills who understands the needs of our clients and partner organisations. In return we can offer you an interesting and rewarding role that enables you to give back to your community. We run a successful drop-in service every Tuesday from 11.30-1.30pm, a Social Hub for clients, as well as a number of ESOL classes. We have a full-time Caseworker and a part-time volunteer co-ordinator as well as over 60 volunteers.
Salary: £13,668 (£27,336 FTE)
Working hours: 18.5 hours per week, there is some flexibility regarding working days but must be available on a Tuesday.
Duration: This post is funded until Feb 2027 but, with good prospects of extension

Job description
The purpose of this post is to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day services for our clients.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Assisting the Caseworker, uploading documents to our software system and keeping client information up to date, organising appointments and supporting the Caseworker with administrative tasks.
- Assisting the Volunteer Co-ordinator in processing volunteer applications, including sending off for references and carrying out DBS checks with prospective volunteers. The role will involve being a point of contact for our volunteers; The role will also involve organising volunteer evenings; and working with the Co-ordinator to ensure training needs are met.
- Organising Case Review meetings and co-ordinator meetings and associated paperwork such as minutes.
- Being responsible for the team that welcomes new clients/existing clients to our services at the drop-in, which runs every Tuesday from 11.30-1.30pm. The Triage team will need to record on a system software who has attended and for what purpose. Being the lead for the Triage Team to support, train and work alongside volunteers who register and welcome clients to our drop-in.
- Supporting the different teams with administrative tasks including ESOL, Grants and Fundraising Teams, Social Hub, social media and drop in teams.
- Creating a Volunteers Newsletter twice a year and a more general Newsletter once a year.
- Assisting the Grants Co-ordinator to monitor the impact of the work of the funded projects.
- Overseeing a clients WhatsApp group and update with messages on what services are being offered.
- Responsible for responding to the Charities admin emails appropriately.
- Managing our parking scheme.
The post-holder may also be asked to undertake other relevant tasks.

We’re looking for a Chair of Trustees’ to lead and shape the strategic vision of WTRRP as we move forward into our 25th year as a charity. We are looking for someone to support us with our strategy in line with our mission and our values. In this role, you will oversea the Trustee committee co-chairs of the charity, responsible for the agenda and actions of Trustee meetings and AGM, improving good governance and acting as a senior ambassador of the organisation. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, availability and leadership skills to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
WTRRP exists to support asylum seekers and refugees in Watford and Three Rivers who do not yet have settled status in the UK or may have specific needs relating to their application process or welfare. The main services of the charity are a drop-in session and social hub every Tuesday (at St Mary’s Church in central Watford), ESOL classes, providing financial support and advice to its clients and assisting them to integrate into the local community.
The Partnership has grown dramatically over the past 5 years, which is why we are looking for a Chair to join us. WTRRP is run by a committee that meets typically every 2 months and it also provides supervision to our 3 staff members and support to our 70 volunteers.
We would welcome applicants with any of the following experience:
- Governance and previous Committee experience
- Business development and charitable fundraising
- Human resources and people management
- Lived experience of being a Refugee or Migrant
- Financial background
Principal responsibilities:
- Be part of the Committee, supporting the organisation as it grows and develops.
- Have availability to regularly attend the Tuesday hub at St. Marys church from 11- 2pm to support the team and be present.
- Oversee the administration and coordination of sub-committees.
- Serve as line-manager to the Caseworker and conduct planned supervision and appraisals.
- Represent the Partnership as required to the public or external parties such as funders and Community groups.

We are seeking a Human Resources lead to support our charity in developing and managing our HR strategy, policies and processes.
Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Partnership (WTRRP) provides practical and emotional support, advice and befriending to refugees, migrants and people seeking asylum living in the Watford and Three Rivers area. We are a growing charity serving an increasing number of clients. We have been able to secure some funding which has enabled us to be able to employ three members of staff, one Full time Caseworker, a part time Office Manager and a part time Volunteer Coordinator. We are based in St. Mary’s Church, Watford in the heart of the City Centre.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with the passion and drive for Human Resources, who will play a key role in shaping our HR policies and practice, supporting our team, and ensuring a positive and effective work environment. As well as paid staff, we have a pool of dedicated volunteers that support the charity and there will be some policies that will need reviewing that apply to both staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop HR policies and procedures aligned with best practice
· Guide the Trustees on performance management and development
· Provide guidance on employment law, contracts and HR compliance
· Foster a positive and productive culture within our Charity
· Be part of a team to resolve issues with staff and volunteers using clear processes
· Become a Trustee of the Charity and attend meetings which are held in the evenings in Watford

Social Media Officer

At Watford & Three Rivers Refugee Partnership, our objective is to provide practical and emotional support, ultimately helping our clients achieve a sustainable position as full members of our society. Many of our clients are destitute, homeless and have no access to assistance from the government. Our mission is to provide access to advice and essential services until statutory services are in place.
Volunteering as a Social Media Officer provides an opportunity for you to help promote the charity to current and potential clients as well as the wider community, which could attract donors and other volunteers. As well as this it will be a way for you to develop your social media and computer skills, gain experience volunteering for a charity and also it will be an interesting addition to your CV!
Full training will be given on starting the role, including safeguarding, as well as regular training sessions and continual support from other volunteers.
Responsibilities:
· Updating the charity’s Facebook, X and Instagram pages regularly (ideally at least weekly).
· Liaising with other volunteers from other services to gather photos and information to post prior to and after events/sessions.
· Attend and take photos of the bigger charity events throughout the year.
· Try to gain more followers and traction through social media.
· Reply to comments, share posts and stories and follow relevant local and national organisations.
Requirements:
· 1-2 ad/hoc hours a week.
· Complete training as required and attend bi-monthly volunteer support meetings.
Skills:
· An ability to communicate and empathise with people from a variety of backgrounds and needs.
· Basic IT and social media skills.
· Can work well as part of a team.
· Enthusiasm to help refugee clients.
Desirable experience:
· Previous volunteering experience.
· Able to follow new social media trends and algorithms to create as much engagement as possible.

Transport Support Volunteer Needed

Some examples of support includes;
· Helping with house moves
· Collecting furniture that is being donated and drop off at client’s homes
· Lifts to attend appointments if the client struggles using public transport
You must have access to your own vehicle. You will work as part of a supportive team and it can fit around work and caring commitments. You will be able to claim mileage at 45p per mile and parking costs as expenses. We will need proof that your driving documents are up to date, including informing your insurance that you are using your car for ‘business’ purposes (usually at no extra cost).

Fundraising Volunteers
Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Partnership are looking to recruit volunteers who are able to fundraise creatively in the local community and with businesses to support our charity.
Our aims
We offer practical and emotional support to asylum seekers and refugees in Watford and Three Rivers. Many of the people we help are destitute, homeless and have no access to assistance from the government. Our mission is to provide access to advice and essential services until statutory services are in place.
Our needs
The Refugee Partnership is a volunteer-led organisation with a growing client base. We also continually need funds to support us in providing food vouchers for the people we support as well as assisting clients in their basic living needs and the increasing cost of legal fees.
What we are looking for:
We would like to establish a fundraising group of volunteers who will focus on promoting fundraising opportunities for the WTRRP. It would be helpful but not necessary if you have some of the following skills;
• experience of organising events or an interest in doing this
• being able to work as part of a team
• experience of using social media to generate interest in fundraising
• ability to promote what we do by giving talks within the community
• experience of completing fundraising applications
• an interest in organising traditional fundraising events such as bake sales, collections etc.

Volunteer Caseworkers
This role is for people who already have some previous experience in people facing roles. We are looking for people who have empathy, are good listeners and are non-judgemental. You will be supporting a small number of people who have more complex needs and require extra support to get through difficult situations. We are looking for people who have two to four hours a week to spare. You will be offered support in this role by the Partnership.
Support clients by:
Providing moral support in meetings and making sure the person understands.
Making phone calls or supporting a people to make calls.
Helping with form filling and letter writing
Working with people on solutions to more complex issues e.g. debt.
